When we talk about surrender, it may sound like we're talking about a loss or a giving up of something. And it's true that when you surrender your life to God, you are offering control of it to Christ as Lord. However, this surrender does not leave you with loss or emptiness. Rather, it allows God the opportunity to give you back your life and help you live it as it's meant to be lived. There is tremendous blessing in such surrender. God gives us the strength to do what we need to do. He wants to enrich our life, not take from it. He wants to make our life more abundant and guide us. But He won't force His blessings upon us. Rather, He waits for us to surrender in humility and ask Him for His help. In doing so, we make room for God in our life. That is why Jesus said, "He who loses his life for My sake will find it."
Sooo cool isn't it! Don't be afraid to surrender or let go today! Your best life is in front of you! So let the healing begin!

Check out some wonderful, recent comments after a night of ministry with TT.
"Anita - Thank you soo much for everything, we absolutely loved you both. Tammy was incredible…she is the total package!! We are hearing all kinds of great responses and women of all ages really loved her ministry. We were all just blown away!"
-- Alane Gorman, Director of Operations, Just Joy! Ministries, West Falls, NY
"Tammy performed some serious ministry work last night at The Peoples Church. It reminded me of Christian concerts long past when artists would lead by example, talk about the Lord's work, encourage the audience with laughter and stories, and share contemporary music and the Gospel message. There aren't many people who can stand on stage for 2 hours, sing, inspire and keep an audience glued to their seats. Whether a crowd of thousands at a Women Of Faith event, or the Chapel at TPC, Tammy revealed herself as minister to others."
-- Chris Coppernoll, Author/Soul2Soul Radio Host

TAMMY NOMINATED FOR FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR!
The Christian Music Hall of Fame and Visionary Awards has announced the 2009 nominees. They honor those that have spent their lives celebrating Christ through music and ministry. I have been nominated for Inspirational Female Vocalist of the Year. All I can say is, THANK GOD my friend Natalie Grant is not in this category, too! LOL! The ceremony will take place in Dallas, TX, November 14, 2009, hosted by Chonda Pierce. Now here's the really fun news...I've been told that all my friends and family can now vote for all the nominees as well. It just takes a minute. Just click on this Ballot Bin link, http://www.ballotbin.com/voterReg.php?b=6658, and enter your email address to sign up. Then you'll be able to see all the nominations, including mine. (I'm smiling big and you better show me some love). Then vote away. I just sent mine in! :) Also, here is the actual website where you can link from too, to vote http://www.hallmuseum.com/.

"On her latest album, Tammy Trent manages to be simultaneously musically effervescent and lyrically deep. The production is light and breezy, making this an infectious pop collection that will grab the listener by the ears. The dominant theme is hope shining through the darkness, and Trent, who lost her husband in a 2001 scuba accident, delivers it with authority and compassion. "I'm Letting Go" is a poignant song of surrender, while "You've Already Shown Me" serves to remind us that God amply demonstrates his love. But the centerpiece of this collection is the achingly vulnerable ballad "Edge of the Water," penned by Trent and Alisa Childers. This is powerful music from a survivor who continues to move forward with a sweet spirit and a voice filled with unfailing hope and faith." — Deborah Evans Price, Billboard Magazine
